Description

Amala is a popular Nigerian "swallow" food, native to the Yoruba ethnic group, made from dried yam flour (elubo), cassava flour (lafun), or plantain flour. It is a soft, dark brown (or light) doughy staple, prepared by stirring flour into boiling water, typically served with soups like Ewedu and Gbegiri.
